Two life jacket stations were set up this morning at the Cox’s Bazar and Moheshkhali ferry terminals to strengthen passenger safety on waterways.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md. Hedayet Ullah has urged passengers travelling between Moheshkhali and Cox’s Bazar to use the life jackets available at these stations to ensure safe crossings.
Passengers have been instructed to collect a life jacket from one terminal before departure and return it at the opposite terminal after completing the trip.
Calling for public awareness and cooperation, the UNO emphasised that safety on waterways should be a shared responsibility of all passengers.
