Ragib Mahtab, a ninth-grade science student at Baitush Sharaf Jabbaria Academy School & College, has earned the prestigious “President’s Scout Award 2024,” becoming the sole recipient from Cox’s Bazar Sadar Upazila.
The national-level evaluation camp was held on June 17–19, 2025, at the National Scout Training Center in Mouchak, Gazipur, where candidates underwent oral, practical, and swimming tests.
Out of several thousand candidates from across the country, only 524 scouts were finally selected. The results were officially published on September 18, 2025.
Ragib, a resident of North Rumaliarchhara Brick Field Road in Cox’s Bazar Municipality’s Ward 5, is the only son of businessman Nasir Uddin and Shahin Akter, Head Teacher of South Rakhine Para Government Primary School in Choufal Dondi Union.
His parents said Ragib dedicated this achievement to his respected teachers.
He expressed gratitude to his parents, sister, teachers, trainers, senior scouters, relatives, and well-wishers.
Ragib aspires to continue his studies while remaining actively engaged in scouting activities, contributing to national development.
He has sought everyone’s prayers for his future endeavors.
