A sense of stillness has settled over North Sonar Para Fishing Village as the ongoing 58-day fishing ban keeps fishers off the sea. With daily routines disrupted, many are spending idle hours along the shore. Some collect shrimp fry carried by the current with family members, while others stand in shallow water with nets, waiting. Many are also repairing nets and boats, passing the time until fishing resumes.
