Jessia Islam is a celebrated Bangladeshi model and actress who won the Miss Bangladesh 2017 title and represented Bangladesh at the 67th Miss World competition held on November 18 in Sanya, China. During a serene evening by the Cox’s Bazar beach, Jessia shared her thoughts about the tourism sector. She emphasized the need to make Cox’s Bazar more attractive to international tourists, highlighting the importance of strengthening safety measures. “Tourism should flourish while preserving the natural beauty and protecting the environment,” she remarked. She also spoke about her love for the local cuisine. She enjoys delicacies like squid and crab fry, red coral barbeque, and traditional Bangladeshi dishes such as rice, mashed vegetables, and dried fish fry (loitya fry).
