Among the many varieties of jujube (boroi), the Apple Jujube stands out as one of the most popular.

Known for its large size, crisp texture, and sweet flavor, this seasonal fruit is not only delicious but also highly beneficial for health.

Apple Jujube starts appearing in markets by late January. The trees bloom in October, and fruit begins to form in November. 

By January, the jujubes grow larger and begin to ripen, making them ready for sale.

In Cox’s Bazar, this fruit is widely available in local markets. In early January, the price of Apple Jujube was around Tk200 per kg, but as supply increased, the price dropped to around Tk170  per kg within a week.

Apple Jujube is an excellent natural blood purifier. Rich in vitamins, fiber, and antioxidants, it is particularly beneficial for people with high blood pressure and diabetes. 

Moreover, this fruit helps boost immunity, providing protection against seasonal colds, coughs, and fevers. It also supports liver function and helps prevent liver-related diseases.
