At Sonar Para beach, the scene of fishermen sorting their catch has become a familiar sight, whether under the blazing sun or in the drizzle of early morning rain. Speaking to the fishermen who live in Sonar Para village, it emerged that they set out to sea in the middle of the night to catch fish. Sometimes, it is already morning by the time they return with their haul from the sea. However, they try their best to make it back by dawn, hoping to bring in the day’s fresh catch before the sun rises fully.
