This year, the coastal and foothill regions have seen a bumper harvest of paddy, with Pechar Dwip’s fields now swaying with golden grains under the autumn sun. The sight of ripened paddy has brought a festive spirit to the area, and farmers’ faces beam with satisfaction. Thanks to favorable weather, timely rainfall, and dedicated care, this year’s yield has been exceptional—significantly higher per hectare than last year. Farmers are hopeful of getting good prices for their crops. Across the coastal plains and valleys, it’s now a busy time of reaping, threshing, and storing the fruits of their hard work.
