Fishermen at Pechar Dwip were all smiles after hauling in a massive Shapla Pata fish weighing nearly 4 kilograms near the shoreline. They said the rare catch came early in the morning during low tide when they pulled in their nets. Such a large Shapla Pata fish is considered uncommon in this area. While some locals mentioned it could fetch a good price in the market, the fishermen plan to share the prized catch among themselves.
